Good call, you are right on that one. Sorta weird that the NCAA is punishing (for lack of a better word) NCSU by Clemson playing two FCS teams while NCSU only played 1. They can only count 1 of those FCS wins but it still puts them at 6-5 ahead of NCSU. Just interesting.

NCSU gets to wait and see how things shake out. Some conferences definitely won't fill their allotments so we will see....

No, I'm not wrong. It's an NCAA rule that no 6-6 team may be selected for any bowl until all teams with winning records from that conference are chosen first. I compared Wilson to Campbell because they have similar skills. Ward and Hamilton weren't similar at all to Wilson as passers. Hamilton wasn't a good passer at all, while Ward was good but more of a West Coast type who made quick reads and delivered short, accurate throws. Wilson is a downfield passer who has a deliberate, upright motion that reminded me of Campbell, but as I said, he's much more mobile than Campbell ever was. And for the record, that doesn't mean that Wilson is as good a quarterback now as Campbell was at the end for Auburn, because he isn't. They are similar, and Wilson has a chance to be that good or possibly better by the end of his career, but he's not guaranteed to reach that level.

44, I believe Collin is right that NCSU cannot get an ACC bowl bid until all 7-5 teams have gotten into bowls. There are nine 7-5 teams and 9 bowl allotments for the ACC.

BUT, don't be shocked if the ACC works to get Maryland in as an at-large in another bowl and NCSU slides into the DC bowl (the ACC did this a few years ago and the DC bowl is the same week as Maryland Exams).

I come on here to read different opinions, and although I agree with some and disagree with others does not make me feel the urge to degrade anyone else on this board. Because right or wrong, it's their opinion. No matter if it's right or wrong, it's an opinion. And your negative personal comments to me does not make me lose sleep at night. I laugh at what you say. I laugh at you. I laugh at your existence because I'm a naturally happy person and live a happy and fulfilling life. But you have over 18,000 posts on this message board alone and spend your time trying to bring people to your level of sadness which is nearly impossible. I've come to realize that message boards are your life. And yet again, I feel sad for that. I wish you could have a life that's a happy one. One that actually made a difference. Maybe by being a counselor for young kids, maybe by being a doctor or scientist that helps look for the cure to cancer. At the end of the day, do you look at your life and feel you've made a difference? If so, or not, you need to take another look at it and decide to do something different because you are failing.

 

Here is some more info on the process. I really believe the ACC will work something out. Maryland would probably love to jump at the chance to play an undefeated Ball State team in the Motor City Bowl (or NCSU could end up there).

For the record, pull hard for Troy against Ark. St as that would leave another bowl open if Ark. State loses due to some stupid contract the Sun Belt has with two bowls (why in the world would you, as a bowl, force yourself to take an At-Large from the Sun Belt if there are teams like Notre Dame/NCSU sitting there with 6-6 records).
