My dad, brother and I were at the Gator Bowl and NC State was well represented in that game. It was probably 65%-35% NC State fans and it was great that we beat the crap out of ND.

No, I'm really not. I was at both games, and while State had a strong showing, Carolina filled the entire stadium except for one section of BC fans. And State sent around 30-35k to the Gator Bowl, not 40k. According to news reports, Notre Dame had the higher ticket sales and total attendance was only 73,491. For the record, West Virginia sent over 50,000 to the Gator Bowl the next season.
Weren't you just bragging about how State supports football whether they suck or not? The reality is that NCSU benefited enormously from the Philip Rivers era. They're still enjoying the attendance bump they got from his time on campus, but the future is going to depend on the quality of the teams because basketball proves that State fans don't just blindly support their team through thick and thin.
16,319 per game that season, which was well down from the normal 20k+ but still ranked eighth in the nation. Meanwhile N.C. State has never averaged more than 14,576 in any season.
The team didn't show up, but the fans were there. The game was sold out months in advance, you retard, and there wasn't an empty seat until State was kicking Carolina's ass.

Collin, you are a fucking idiot.

And LC, I was there too. The stadium in Jacksonville was red. If I cared enough to prove my point I'd find a picture somewhere on the internet or find one of mine to show that State fans do travel. I just happen to have been at every NC State game in Charlotte. I'd have to say there sure was a lot of red in that stadium.

The funniest part is this, Collin, you are the Wal Mart fan all the State fans make fun of and one of the ones that REAL UNC graduates are ashamed of, how's that make you feel champ?

It's ironic that you accuse me of being an "idiot" when you can't even comprehend a basic sentence. Read what I wrote again, you retard. I didn't say that N.C. State didn't have many fans at the Meineke bowl, I said that they had less of a presence than UNC did in '04. I was at both games, and while State had tons of fans for its game, Carolina filled all but one tiny section of the stadium. If you weren't such a moron you'd stop arguing that point and instead brag about the fact that at least State won their game.
"All the State fans"? You mean all twelve of you that know how to turn on a computer? As I've said before, my dad played at Carolina, so I've been a Tar Heel fan from the point that I was conscious of sports. And I've stayed a Tar Heel fan throughout my life even though I chose to go to a better school (UVA). Meanwhile you don't even recognize that people wanting to associate themselves with Carolina is an honor. State has no Wal-Mart fans because State licks asshole. No one wants to be associated with NCSU unless they had the misfortune of attending that concrete jungle.

It's actually a brick "jungle" or whatever you choose to call it. There's not that much concrete on the entire campus of NCSU. If you are going to say something, at least be correct about it. Now for your statement about it being an "honor" then why do nearly all UNC-Chapel Hill graduates not appreciate that "honor"? You wouldn't know, so maybe you can ask your dad? Your other useless rhetoric makes no sense. I now feel dumber having read it. You get no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

As for the game, why would I brag about that? I assumed long before the game that State has the better program and team, therefore, would run UNC-Chapel Hill out of the stadium, just like they did. So no reason to brag about the obvious.

I hate Chapel Hill as much as the next guy, but NCSU isn't clearly the better team. While Chapel Hill hasn't been as great as people were making them out to be, they certainly have had a better season than NCSU.

One game isn't a whole season.

I call it the ugliest campus I've ever seen.
The only people I hear complaining about Wal-Mart fans are the supporters of other teams who are jealous that no one cares enough to like their school.
The Charlotte bowl game, you fucking retard. Good lord. I know you're a State fan, which makes you a moron by definition, but it's ridiculous that I have to explain everything in detail because you're too stupid to follow along. I was saying that the natural comeback to my point about UNC having more fans in their game against BC than NCSU did against USF was to brag that at least State won their bowl game. Christ, you're an idiot.

Sorta interesting that at this point, NCSU will have at least the same conference record as UNC (who is up on Duke 21-17 at half). Also, we have beat them head-to-head for the last two years. And, we can be picked ahead of UNC when it comes to bowl selection now since we will both be 4-4 (assuming you beat Duke).

Not a bad second year for TOB while only losing 16 seniors (some of who never played or only played on special teams) and we red-shirted almost our entire class from last year which was a good class. Heck, we can't possibly go through the same amount of injuries as we did this year (the TV crew today commented that at one time, we had 13 starters out with injury).

Nope. As noted in the other thread, because N.C. State finished 6-6 they can't be chosen for a bowl until all 7-5 teams in the entire country have been chosen first.
