So, will OU overtake UT in the BCS next week, assuming both win?

    most likely.

But OU would have to win the B12 championship game as well. So, UT only needs them to lose one of those to still play for the title.

The more I see of Bradford the better he looks as the best QB in the country. Damn, that kid is accurate.

I'd take Harrell over Bradford, but they're both excellent, and McCoy is only a little behind them.

Hey Collin, considering you pretty much nail QBs at the NFL level, what is your take on Harrell? I know TT QBs typically get hit for producing big numbers just because of the system (think of Kingsbury here) but it doesn't seem like I have heard similar things about Harrell and was wondering what you thought of him.

The thing that impresses me most about Harrell is how he moves in the pocket. I've watched him several times this season and he just seems to have some innate ability to sense when the pocket is collapsing and knows to move a step to avoid the sack and get the throw off.

    Agreed.

    wolfpac:
An easy way to tell the difference between a system quarterback like Klingsbury and just a flat out good quarterback is to watch their head. System quarterbacks are benefiting from the sophistication of the offense and their success is usually created by the plays that are being run. That means most of the time they'll be throwing to their first read. If you see a guy staring down one receiver and then throwing it to him, that's what I'm talking about. Someone like Harrell, on the other hand, surveys the field very quickly in order to find the receiver who is his best option. You can see him scanning in quick succession, and he usually does find the "right" player. That's also how you could tell that TT was up shit creek against Oklahoma, because they had Harrell rattled to the point that he just wanted to get rid of the ball and wasn't his normal self in terms of sitting in the pocket and reading the coverage.

As for his pro prospects, I'll have to sit down and watch his performance more closely before I make that kind of judgment, but I do think Harrell has a future in the league. Bradford obviously does too, for that matter. I'm not sure about McCoy, though.

tt has been running the same crap for how long now? how many guys are in the nfl in that system? I do think crabtree is going to be a player though.

Crabtree is the overrated one. He's a good receiver, but has hands of stone and doesn't run his routes very crisply. Right now he's getting by on athleticism, but an NFL team would make a mistake by taking him in the first round.

This is when you are at your best. Outstanding observations.

I was also interested in your comments about his being rattled. Of the 3 games I watched of him, this was the first time that he had pressure, and I was wondering how he would handle it. Is this something that can be corrected (staying in the pocket?) or is it character where some QB's have it and some don't?
