Why, if everyone said that you were wrong and presidence found an SI link proving you wrong, would you continue to insist that you're right? Even if you need to lie to yourself to feel less like a useless, hated piece of garbage, then do it in private. When you lie so blatantly in public, you go beyond being hated to being laughed at. To be so pathetic that you have to make obvious lies just to feel better about yourself, well that's just hilarious. Presidence posted an article that backed up what I said, you lying piece of garbage. I posted that Welker saw safety help when the Jets were in their nickle package AKA, obvious passing downs. The article said that they ran what amounts to a modified cover 2 in passing situations to double Welker.

If you think they were giving double help to Welker every other down you are fucking cluless. No team can dedicate double coverage to 2 players except in long yardage passing siutuations when they have nickel and dime shells in the game. If you think otherwise, you are football ignorant...which you already proved last year when you couldn't tell me the difference between cover2 and cover3 after running your mouth.

I am continually stunned by your ability to convince yourself that you are smarter than everyone and to somehow think anyone believes that you are respected in any manner on this board or in life in general. You are, without a doubt, the most hated person on this board and that is indisputable.

No doubt Cassel has better weapons around him, but what is has done is very impressive. I hope he goes somewhere and has a solid career, because he obviously can get the job done.

Not that I'm not enjoying this little piss fest from the sidelines, but I don't think that's what presidente's source was saying.

First off, Pats run quite a bit of 3 and 4 wide recievers. During the game in question, Gaffney, Welker, and Moss were on the field together quite a bit. When that's happening, most teams will put in extra DBs.

Secondly, LBs are part of pass coverage too, including on WRs. Obviously no one in their right mind is going to ask most (if any) LBs to cover Wes Welker all over the field. But teams often use LBs to help "bracket" a slot reciever with another DB, in essense a type of double team. Sometimes that LBs onlly job will be to try and get a hit on the reciever in the 5 yard area and then drop into a zone, or take the flat or the middle of the field. Obviously you aren't going to ask a LB to follow him everywhere over the field, but he can provide some initial help.

In the game in question, this is what I believe the Jets were attempting with Welker with some level of success. However, this left Gaffney and others singled up.

Except that it's not only been disputed, it's been disproven. As others said the last time I humiliated you in an argument and you tried to make yourself feel better by insisting that I'm more hated than you are, people respect my opinion and are interested in what I have to say.
