    Black Mocha Stout was really good this year too.

    I don't know about the fancy ales, or lagers out there. What about just a good 'ole staple, Busch Beer. That's my brand. Nothing fancy or frilly, just good 'ole beer. It doesn't have to be so complicated. Imma gonna catch hell for this, ain't I?

    no, but it certainly doesn't add much either. FWIW, "fancy" I don't get, but for me, I like for my beer to taste like beer.

    There is nothing fancy about beer being made the way it was for thousands of years before it was made into watered down piss in the last 50 years

    Samichlaus Helles is the best lager ever. It's 14.5%, but it drinks like a 4%. It's clear but malty, high alcohol but not too dry or puckering. I could drink myself literally to death with a case or so of this and have a ball at it. A little bit better on tap this weekend than on bottle now because the draft had a little bit more head...came out of the bottle almost still.
