glad to see you come back out of the wood work. It takes 3 good years to build a program, UNC ranks 12th in the nation in recruiting for next year, NC State is next to last in the ACC, ranked 59th behind Arizona. UNC is still slated for the Chick Fila bowl.

gotta like UNC playing at home. Won't be easy though. State is healthy and Wilson is playing good. Running QBs always worry me. UNC with a little QB issue brewing. I still say UNC by ten.

The amount of stars is better than filling the needs of your team, that makes no sense. I rather a coach get 3 star guys with occasional 4 stars and putting guys in place instead of stacking up with 4 5 star LB's to go along with the 15 we have on our team. The year would have been different if State would have stayed healthy, not making excuses but when you have over 15 injuries, I give a team the exception for not having a good year(even if it was UNC, I would still let you make that excuse).

3 years is not right, it takes 4 years because that counts from his first recruiting class til they graduate. If a coach comes in late during the recruiting period(which most do), then you can give him 5 years to turn it around because they had little time to go out and recruit the type of players they wanted for the program because most of the recruits coming into the program came for the last coach, not the new one.

Let's not forget some recruits won't make it due to grades, but i'm sure you thought of that because you are so dumb-I mean smart about the recruiting phase of college football and understand that stars are more important than filling the needs of certain positions on a football team.

when you say "not making excuses" you're making excuses

so you'd rather not have the best athletes, just the medicore? that's why NC State hasn't won an ACC championship in any sport since 1989, now I understand.

Butch Davis came in 6 weeks ahead of TOB, what's your point?

You forgot to work in the Philip Rivers argument? Where was it?

I gave an example of coaches when coming into programs(2nd paragraph) nowhere did I mention anything about TOB or Butch, so once again, whats your point?

When you have been devastated by injuries to key players, you can make an excuse. If Wilson had been healthy all year and we had all our offensive weapons, the defense stayed healthy, then I think it is a different outcome. Maybe we would be worse or the same without so many key injuries, but as a fan, you have to wonder what they could have been if they were healthy. Not saying they would be a NC contender, but it would have been exciting for them to compete each week with the talent we had that were injured.

Giving the state of UNC/NC State football, they need to get guys into the program that fill the needs lilke improving the O-line or D-line. If your QB is getting hit or rushed every play then recruiting a 5 star WR will not help your team or improve the team. Lets take TT, their QB puts up great numbers because his O-line gives him unbelievable amount of time to pick apart the defense. If they didn't have such an good O-line, he wouldn't have the numbers because he wouldn't have time to read the defense and force throws he couldn't make and either throw it away or throw picks. In order to get better, you start in the trenches and work around that. Same goes for defense, if your D-line is putting the pressure on the QB, that gives your DB's and LB's an opportunity to make INT's or break up passes. Dear god man, stop looking at stars and start looking at team needs, single minded fans only look at the amount of stars instead of looking at what positions they recruited. Both UNC and NC State need to improve their O/D-lines before they start having the type of success to win their certain division and then a ACC Championship.

Nowhere did I state PR, but I will go and say he was one of the best ACC QB's of all time.
