Butch announced today that he is opening up the qb position going into the State game. Sexton did not have a great game at Maryland but I hope people don't blame that loss all on him.

He sure didn't help his cause with all of those overthrows. I'd roll him out almost every play, he seems to do better that way.

You have the best receiver in Nicks and you only get him the ball 3 times? I'd at least throw some screens, end arounds to get him the ball. He's not as fast as TATE but he's dangerous with the ball in his hands.

I agree, Sexton is mobile and often very good when rolling out. Butch likes the kid because he has stuck with it and made some key plays at big moments. Yates was a starter for a reason I guess you could say so it's likely he will be the qb against State. The team is like any other, they are a lot better when they can run the ball. Need some motorgraders up front and they are hard to find.

With all of these athletic players they are bringing in the next few years, it'll help if they get some good OL talent to block for them or it won't matter.

I thought Draughn ran the ball well, but the offense didn't stay on the field to get a consistent running game going. Any word on Houston who was injured early on?

I firmly believe UNC still has a shot at Tampa. No reason to think they don't win out - and the way the ACC has been this year Miami, Tech and UVA could all go 1-1.

    GT could beat Miami
    Clemson could beat UVA
    and.....
UVA and VT still have to play each other....(Hope for a UVA win here)

    Fingers are crossed.....

I hope all that happens but the Wolfpack concern me. That win over Wake has them playing with some swagger.

Why not? Sexton was by far the biggest reason that Carolina lost the game. Not the only reason, but no player is ever the only reason a team loses.
