    First regular season game of the year, I'm pumped. Should be a blowout. If we don't win by at least 15 or 20, we need serious help. GO NINERS

    Very true. We will beat several top 25 teams, then lose to Jeb's School of Corn Harvesting and Sister Mary's School of the Quadrapelegics...

    Well we beat Clemson at their place last year when they were ranked #18, and a few years ago we beat three top ten teams. Just sayin', we always manage to beat some really good teams, then lose to some really bad ones. It's Niners basketball.

    Back on topic though. We played like garbage and still won by 18. UNCG is terrible. I knew that if we played like that against ODU, we would lose. And then we lost to ODU. We need to shape up and drop the hammer on App this week.

    I don't know that we're that same program anymore.

    We were excited about having an NIT team last season, and I think we'll be at best an outside bubble team this year. Next year, I think we have a shot at having a really good squad again, but the year after that is scary.

    Losing 2 guards in one swoop has hurt more than I expected, and I am still not sold on Mack. I don't think he's the star everyone wants to make him out to be. He was helped a lot by having Leemire on the team.
