What about T Martin. At least he did what that overrated Peyton Manning couldn't do, Beat Florida & WIN a National Title for you 'Current' Coach Fulmer. Failure couldn't happen to a better program.

    Just jumping in here.

What are the effects on not naming a coach now-recruiting-on UT. I would think you would want to name a coach now. Or do you write off next season as well?

I'm about 99.9% sure the guy they are after has a team still in contention for something and UT is giving them the respect of staying out of the way for now.

Depends on who they hire. A guy outside of college football would come in a lot sooner that would an assistant coach or head coach at another program. If they hire a head coach or an assitant coach from another program, he would probably come in after the team he is with was done with their season, including bowl games. Some coaches come into a program while the one he left is preparing for a bowl game, it depends on what he wants to do.

Does the NCAA even allow them to hold actual talks with current head coaches? I thought that had to go through a 3rd party at this point in the season.
