Apple Tree?

Question...Do you really believe this? If so, please shed some light on how he accomplished living that long, I want his secret.

 

The following is what I understand about the Tribulation.

The Anti-christ comes first (6th trump) and Christ returns at the end of the tribulation to destroy the anti-christ and all will be taken. Then for a thousand years all that was taken will be in spiritual bodies either on the good side (heaven) or wrong side (hades).

My main disagreement with some pastors, etc. is they say we will be raptured out of here before the tribuation....this is what the anti-christ will be preaching and getting people to think he is the real Christ.

Scriptures:

l Corin 15:51-52 We who have died are with Christ and those in physical bodies will be raised at the end of tribulation. (7th trump)

Matt 24: 4: 26-31 Anti-christ come first (6th trump) Also, says what happens after the tribulation when Christ returns. (7th trump)

Rev. 13 Nations which was wounded rise with a leader (anti-christ).

Rev. 13:11-18 Anti-christ comes in and rescues governments and failed nations that was wounded and performs great signs claiming to be the Messiah. He deceives those (even the elect) that don't know who comes first...anti-christ or Christ.

Mark 13: 1-37 Jesus comes after the anti-christ. Note: verse 28-30 parable of the fig tree-talks about harvest time (summer) and this generation will not pass away till all these things take place. Israel established 1948 is the beginning of the generation Jesus is talking about?

Rev. 19:11-21 Jesus cleans up this mess at end of tribulation (7th trump).

Rev 20 Satan is now bound up for 1000 years and saints reign thru millenium. Satan at end of 1000 years is released and leads a rebellion. Satan and his followers are then destroyed when the Great White Throne Judgement takes place.

Just a side note....The anti-christ will not be here the full seven years of the tribulation, but is reduced to 5 months. The season of the locusts is 5 months from May thru September.

 

No pollution in air, food, ground and water. No poisons in food. There was nothing to get sick and die from. There were some pretty good sized animals roaming the lands at that time.

During the first earth age God created men and women and these people were hunters and fishermen. On the 8th day God created Adam and Eve and they worked the ground growing their own food, etc. After the flood God promised us 70 years and its been that way since the flood.

 

People evolved before bacteria and viruses? Wow, you learn something every day.

Gen 1: 26-31 God created men and women to have dominion over the animals, etc. These people were hunters.

Gen 3: 23 God sent Adam out of the garden "to till the ground from which he was taken".

Question to you Holly. The "rib" taken out of Adam to create Eve...was it actually a rib?

 

Ive gotta agree with BigVito and say its a metaphore for knowledge that shouldnt be attained.

However, as a child ive always assumed it was an apple tree too. At least, that is what it has been depicted as in western art for centuries. But it appears the apple came about as a mistranslation of the latin word "malum" which means "evil" when used as an adjective and "apple" when used as a noun. Then of course there is the whole "Adams apple" thing which is supposed to symbolise the forbidden fruit caugh in mans throat.

But going back further the Book of Enoch likens the tree to a Tamarind tree, which bears fragrant grape like fruit. If you consider that Adam and Eve wore fig leaves it could also be that. If you consider the location for the Garden itself the pommegranate makes some sense (even more so when i think about Oprah pushing those damn pommegrate martini on the world)

But the type of fruit the tree bore is not what is important, its the origin of Original Sin is what is important here.

If the Tree of knowledge wasnt a tree then what was the Tree of Life?

According to the Testament of Adam, when Adam was dying (lived to 930 years or there abouts) he asked Seth to return to the Garden of Evil and get three seeds from the tree of life. By the time Seth returned Adam had passed away and he placed the 3 seeds in Adams mouth when he buried him. These 3 seeds grew into 3 trees which were used for the 3 crosses at Calvary that Christ and the two others were crucified upon.

If you beleive all that you must conclude the Tree of knowledge was a real tree that bore seeds too and not a man.
