Do you want to talk about the Hornets or the Bobcats?

Regardless, the blame of support of EITHER franchise does not lie with 'racist fans.'

Please get your facts straight. I've written plenty about the problems with Hornet management. Most all of it happened well before 2007, or even 2003 when this iteration started up.

The box says 11,000, but I'd say there were more like 8,000 there. Even though tickets were half off, it was a weeknight game early in the season so I'm really not suprised that the crowd was what it was. Plus the Bobcats pretty much stank it up except for about half the second quarter, so there wasn't much for those fans to be excited about.

Wait, I thought you claimed that I was the only one who said you blame the Hornets leaving on racism. Now I'm confused.

The Bobcats are like a horse no one cares enough to euthanize.

So the owner (Hornets) pissed off the fans and they stopped following the team and then those same fans became racists and wouldn't follow the Bobcats and it had nothing to do with just being sick of the NBA and the arena issue and the goofy name of the new team?

    You're stretching.

I'm excited to see if we can beat the Knicks tonight, last year I saw them in person, one of the biggest wins of the year for the Cats. I feel bad for heckling Isaiah though now, given all that's happened.

What the fuck are either of you talking about?

I didn't blame the Hornets leaving on racism.

    You're both confused beyond belief.

I implied that there were a few people in Charlotte who didn't like the Bobcats based on the race of their owner. I never said that was one of the reasons the franchise was failing, and I certainly never said anything about the Hornets and racism.

Im sure there were more than the 4-5k I mentioned...but it looked BAD. It sux, too, I dont want to lose another team...and if this one goes...we will not see another one. I also understand it was a Monday night, pre-election night, etc...so I will give them that.

It did get loud at times. But Prince and Hermann started killing us...then Wallace, etc.

I'll just go to the games while I can. Hopefully....Brown can get them competitive...and more of Charlotte will come out to support them.

Well, that was some of the worst defense I've seen in awhile on a player going off. Nate Robinson had 19 in the second quarter, and the first 12 were so fast it was a blur. DJ Augustin got picked on all night, offensively and defensively. They left him wide open enticing him into several quick shots without a pass. All in all the Bobcats rebounded well and competed enough to stay in the game with a bad team, but fell short again. Jason Richardson seemed unwilling to step up in the second half, and save for a couple of late 3 pointers by Wallace we wouldn't even have had a shot.

We're a bad basketball team, hopefully next year's pick is lottery protected cause we're going to need it.

I went to Monday night's game. I noticed 3 things:

    1. The JohnsonCats sucked.
    2. The arena looked empty. The upstairs was essentially empty. The lower bowl was less than half full.
    3. One of the bars in one of the downstairs club areas was CLOSED.

    Talk about depressing...................

Kudos for trying, Tet. I don't know how anyone could be a fan of that team.
