Perfect Wii tv if the geometry is good.

Of course, the 360 will look fantastic on that as well, and like I mentioned in the 360 thread, you can get an Arcade unit plus a refurb HD from MS for about the same price as a Wii. It's a great value.

I've got both a Wii and 360. I play both about the same about of time. The 360 has more Gears of War, FPS, blowing stuff up type games and better graphics. I've enjoyed Call of Duty 5, Star Wars games, Grand Theft Auto, Madden, Gears of War and others.

The Wii is a lot of fun too. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3, and the WiiSports games are tons of fun. I also enjoy some of the old school games like the original Super Mario Brothers and Punch Out.

My wife and 3 year old play the Wii too. My son loves getting Star Bits with the second controller while I play Mario. Punch Out helped him learn to count to 10 since I'm always knocking fools out. My wife has played Mario almost as much as I have and she's not a gamer at all.

I like the 360 a lot but I'm the only one who plays it. If I could only have one I have to choose the Wii because of the wife and kids. If it was just me I'd get the 360 just because I love FPS games.

I'd get both. And bring one of them over to that guy's house where you play cards a lot. I'm sure it'd look good on that TV upstairs.

Not exactly true. Mine's up converted using my Bose AV Receiver and looks VERY good on my LCD.

Speaking of......this TV is a 50" Vizio plasma. How do plasma TVs handle video games like this now? I know there have been serious burn-in issues with video games on plasmas in the past.

My point by stating 'cheap LCD' was that you'd be using the cheap upscaler on it. Obviously if you are using a nice receiver to upscale your results will differ.

edit: Plasmas from the past couple of years don't have nearly as many problems with burn-in. As long as you don't play Halo 10 hours a day every day you're fine. I game on my plasma and don't worry about it at all.
