Womble nor Dwight Jones are going to lose their redshirt. Johnny White is going to help Hakeem Nicks on KO and White/Brooks Foster will handle punts as of today. May change.

I feel terrible for Tate. He was being talked about as a possible first round pick and I doubt that pans out now. Still will be drafted, however. The Heels have depth at WR. Kenton Thorton is a beast and will compliment Nicks and Foster well.

Zach Pianalto also was injured in Saturday and has a sprained ankle. Look for Greg Little to shift from RB to H-back to help fill that void.

look for Little to fill more than 1 void. If he can improve his hands, he may do everything.

The worst was feared and the worst was revealed in the MRI. Tate was the best play maker on the team and will be missed. The Tar Heels do have some depth at the WR position but they can't replace his ability on kick returns. Bummer for Tate who was likely on his way to playing himself into the 1st round of the NFL draft.

That's no way to end your college career. Best of luck to him whatever he decides to do.

I think you hit it. Little could be a really good slot reciever. I know lot of Carolina fans are down on him but he is talented.

Rumblings are that Butch is about to end up with a top 10 recruiting class. It's early but the Tar Heels are having a good year and they are in the running for a number of big time recruits.

One of the things that makes sport so much fun is playing What if? What if the Tar Heels had not collapsed after Yates got hurt against Va Tech ? What if they had not went into a coma at Virginia ? Still 6-2 is better than what we have been in a while. Could they actually run the table ?

Looks like Tennessee may not be going to a bowl game this year....especially after South Carolina beats the vols Saturday nite.

Because of Tenn. decline over the last 10 years Coach Fulmer will be stepping down at end of season hopefully by retiring.

What happens next? Look for Coach Davis to go to the Vols.

84niner, you don't need to repeat yourself eight thousand times. Say something once, and if people think it's stupid, then let it go.
