At Grandma's, we started out breakfast with bananas, heavy cream, and brown sugar. It was so damn good.

    Lettuce sandwiches. :wacky:

And potatoes with garden peas in a cream sauce. I always forget to try to make that when baby peas are in season. Someone remind me next summer.

I don't think it's written down and it's been adjusted over the years due to the trend of not wanting your heart to explode

tomatoes; fresh picked still warm from the sun. i don't know if it was the delicious smell or the sweet taste of the fruit. damn there was something wonderful about that first magical bite.

corn too. i used to just husk it and eat it raw. super sweet and full of starch. you could feel the coating on your tongue from the hard kernels exploding.

honey suckle flowers; pick just the bloom and suck the drop of honey out of it. yummy. we use to put them (blossoms) in salads.

mint leaves; i used to carry one in my pocket and pull it out throughout the day just to smell it. you didn't need to actually eat it to 'taste' it.

yeah, i grew up in a very rural area, lol. i loved it.
