The four top teams in the So Con face off this weekend. Furman is at App State and Wofford is at Elon (who would've thought a few years ago that Elon would be contending for a conference title). Elon right now leads the conference with a 5-0 conference record (7-1 overall). Wofford and App State both hold a 3-0 conference record ( 5-1 overall and 5-2 overall, respectively), while Furman holds a 3-1 conference record (6-2 overall). On paper, Elon and App State look to be the teams to beat.

    The other key games remaining:

    10/31
    Wofford @ App State

    11/15
    Elon @ App State

    11/22
    Furman @ Wofford

Though Ga Southern and the Citadel are pretty much out of contention for the conference title, they could play a spoiler role for any of the top four teams except for Elon, who has already played both of them.

I hope one of the regional Fox stations will be carrying the games. Caught the App St-Ga Southern game and it was better than any D-1 games that weekend.

Elon can prove they are for real this week against Wofford.

Elon's definitely for real. They came on strong the end of last year, and have put together a strong passing game. If I were putting money on it, I give the odds to Elon being the conference champion this year.

    App as well

u said that Ga South n Citadel could spoil everyone except for Elon having alreayd played them.. But ASU has already played both of them as well so count them off the list of having their seasons spoiled by one of those 2 teams. Big Couple Games here for ASU though.. tomorrow Black Saturday against Furman and then a week from tonight Wofford comes to town.. its goign to be crazy here in Boone!

I stand corrected. Regardless, Elon has more conference games behind them than the rest of the crowd. Wofford and App State can knock off their conference championship hopes, though.

App has a tough run, but they could quite possibly win them all (though it seems to me you guys are really missing Richardson). Furman this week, then Wofford, and then Elon.

Late in the game and Wofford is beating Elon bigtime due to 3 interceptions, lol. Looks like App is going to beat Furman too. It's getting interesting. That leaves Wofford and App as the two unbeatens in the conference, and they play each other coming up.

Friday night on ESPN2. Could have been #1 vs #2 if JMU doesn't hit a hail mary pass with 20 seconds left to beat Nova. But it'll be a big game in Boone.

Wow, what a demolishing of Wofford. Only Elon stands in the way for App State, and though their QB is good, he can be had for INTs.
