WBC '09 Brackets released

    I'm not liking the format of that at all. Instead of four pools of four teams each, it should be two pools of eight teams each. Play the format just like of Olympic Basketball in that they play seven games apiece, the top four teams in each pool advance to the playoffs with the quarterfinal matchups looking like this:

    Pool A #1 vs Pool B #4

    Pool B #2 vs Pool A #3

    Pool A #2 vs Pool B #3

    Pool B #1 vs Pool A #4

    Or do something similar to the College World Series by the pools to advance to a final series....

    I know why they section it off so that people will get to see the pool play games, regionally.

    yeah....i personally like the college world series format better than this one.
