You mean the guys that had a 16 and 9 ERA respectively?

BTW, we also don't have a Schilling, Lowell, Manny, or a good Beckett.

Sabathia allowed 3 over 5 to the Yankees in the divisional. It was only when facing the Red Sox that he got shelled. Ditto for Carmona, who only allowed 1 run over 9 against New York.
Schilling wasn't great last year and had been shelled for 5 runs in 4.7 innings in Game 2 of the ALCS, and Bay has been better since joining the Sox than Manny was before leaving Boston. If you want to moan about how the season is over, fine, but if that's what you choose to do then don't turn around and gloat if they do turn things around. You have Matsuzaka, Lester, and Beckett going for the last three games. Boston has twice come back from 3-1 ALCS deficits in recent years. Hearing you whine about that situation is annoying, especially for fans who haven't sniffed the playoffs in over a decade.

You chose to come in here. But it's funny for the amount of bitching that you do that you would consider "this fucking sucks" as whining.

Do you really want to dispute that getting outscored roughly 984 - 8 over 3 games fucking sucks?

But the Rays won't face a healthy Josh Beckett, if it it even goes 6.

What I'm saying is that Red Sox fans should know better than anyone that this series is not over, and hanging your head prematurely is dumb.

the sox have the pitchers going for them that they would want.

Matsuzaka only lost 2 games the entire season and he defeated the rays in game 1 at tropicana.

Beckett, although not fully healthy, is undefeated in elmination games, just look at what he did in the '03 postseason alone.

Lester had a bad game on monday, he pitched good-his only mistake was allowing the big inning, he even admitted to that himself.

What's hurting the sox the most is their lineup, Ellsbury has yet to reach base this series and if he reaches first he can be at third in no time.

Ortiz hasn't done anything except for that triple last night and who knows, maybe that swing will boost his confidence and get him out of his drought.

Pedroia and Youk have been a constant this series, and Jason Bay is swinging a pretty good stick too.

All I'm saying is, for the first time all year long the rays aren't the underdogs, they are the favorites. Everyone knows that the sox play their best ball as the underdogs.
