Average team that got lucky one week and beat a VT team that Beamer had the wrong QB playing and got lucky the next week over a average to bad WVU team. At least they won't have to worry about Holtz being offered a better job.

Holtz could still get offers, as they were ranked for a bit, and can blame their fall to being a C-USA team.

I think the drop is a combo of poor coaching, injuries, and luck running out.

regardless, holtz took a program that was in the dumps to a bcs buster candidate school........and if he stays at ECU another 3-4 years they will be a legit BCS buster.

As opposed to an average team that beat a BAD rutgers team, beat an average UCONN team with their 2nd string QB playing for the 1st time, vsnuck by McNeese St and took bad officiating to beat a horrible ND team at home.

Oh..and couldnt beat that VT team at home either.

WHo has UNC beat that was any good? Answer = no one.

None of that changes the fact that lately ECU has sucked more than fred during his yearly trip to that homo campground.
