I would never have become a fan if they had a dome. That would be gay as shit.

I'll take a real football experience and somebody else can have the superbowl.. Not worth all that for the potential of one game.

You might have a point if I were the only one saying it, but it's universally known. On the other hand, I can't find anyone else claiming that the Belkin group was the better group and Johnson was given the team anyway because he was black. Yet here you are time and again making the claim despite the complete lack of evidence...which one of us is Collin Jr again?

 

Belkin proved to be a horrible owner in ATL. I don't know what more proof you need.

I seriously doubt this market would have supported a team JUST because of Bird's involvement, although at the time I thought it would have helped. This market has proven to be way more apathetic than I even anticipated, I don't think it's ALL because of the difference of Johnson or Belkin.

 

I think we might get one of Greensboro's future Tourney dates if I remember the deal correctly (in return, G'boro gets the 2016 Tournement).

To me, I would rather have an 18,500 seat NBA arena that gets used 100+ dates out of the year (along with the ECHL Checkers and other dates) vs. having a 23,500 seat arena (minus NHL/NBA/ECHL) sit empty all year around except for the occasional big concert or Super Flea Market . . . I wonder how much City of Greensboro has to subsidize the Coliseum losses each year ? ?
