7-2 is a beat down considering that "great offense" you and Collin refer too. They do have power, but they couldn't do much on an off night for Lowe. His sinker wasn't dropping and his fast ball was around the upper 80's. On paper its better with experience, but these young kids are ready to prove themselves in this post season, prove they have as much power as the Cubs. See Loney's mash to center and Martins home run to left center - both into the wind.

I want to try not to be too much of a homer, so I will probably be proved wrong on a 8-1 beat down the Cubs will hand the Dodgers tonight.

the cubs lead the league in hitting franchise.....they also lead the league in walks. Lowe didn't have an off night. Lowe pitched a good game and dempster pitched terribly.

Ive watched Lowe every start. He was off. His normal start gets alot more ground balls than last night. He was falling off the mound alot and not rotating over 80% of the time. Seemed like the cooler weather affected him, even though he flew in directly from San Fran Sunday night, instead of with the team Monday night.

That's the popular opinion, but the Cubs certainly can afford him.

true....but i don't know that they would go after him with an already solid ace in Zambrano and some very good young guys.
