we beat ourselves....dempster got behind in WAY too many counts and walked the bases loaded before the grand slam

manny gets credit for that 3 wood down the center of the fairway, that ball looked like it was on the ground.

Actually, I think Lilly is their most dependable pitcher, right now. Certainly doesn't have the talent of his counterparts, but the guy is super competitive with some nice stuff. He will keep you in a game. I've got a cool story about Lilly, so I am biased.

The two biggest things that surprised me were the 7 walks by Dempster and the chirping of crickets practically the whole game at Wrigley. If they want to learn the correct way to cheer for your team in the playoffs.....go to the Southside and take notes. I was embarrassed for the Cub's players.

shouldn't suprise you. look at what Mattingly has done for our bats post all star break. We work the counts as long as we can and draw walks on everyone - all while being a fairly young team

the cubs see more pitches than any other team in MLB. That was one of dempsters worst outings in a long time, and if you lose to Big Z tonight then the advantage swings 100% back to the cubs. But, I have to say I like the way the dodgers play and joe torre is a stand up manager and a stand up guy. Watching him and sweet lou manage against eachother is a treat....i hope they play to the 5th game where they both have to make some HUGE decisions....and the cubs win it.

depends on which Z shows up. If its the no hitter Z then we're just fucked. But if he gets rattled early on, the Cubs don't have the bullpen to compete with the potential of our explosive offense. I don't see how winning tonight makes the advantage swing "100%" back to the Cubs - seeing how they travel to LA series tied 1-1. I'd say more 50-50 - I still don't see anyone gettting past the Phillies though, they have pitching and hitting.
