It seems Kotsay may be headed to the Red Sox if he wants to go:

Have I said how much it sucks when your favorite team is dealing off it's players because they're going nowhere for the rest of the season? Fuck...

Smoltz made some comments today that he might pitch for someone other than the Braves if he plays next year. I don't think I could bear to see him in another uniform.

Smoltz playing in another uniform would be tough to see. The Braves seem to be on the road back to mediocrity :(. It was a damn good run from '91-'05.
Grateful for that anyway after the 70's and 80's.

Thanks Atlanta. In addition to taking two of three from the Mets you sat back and were swept for the season IN ATLANTA by my Phillies

    You are the greatest :rotflmao:

The Mets are folding again like a cheap card table. Losing to the Cubs tonight. Watch the AStros beat them for the wild card

What a bummer of a season. Nobody thought the Braves were a team that would lose 90 games. The injuries to the pitching staff were catastrophic. No way can you recover from losing Smoltz, Hudson, and Glavine. Hampton who was not really being counted on played maybe a 1/4 th of the season, Soriano down, Morland, down and on and on and on. It will be interesting to see what they do in the winter. They must get some power in the outfield and hope that Frenchy comes back after a terrible 2008.

I thought the loss of Diaz early was big. Trading Tex, Kotsay...Looks like you can only count on Chipper for 2/3 of a season. Age is a bitch.:bday:

Yeah, all the injuries put an end to the season way earlier than I would have liked. Chipper having the season he did was fun to watch but outside of him, McCann and Jurrjens there weren't a lot of bright spots. I guess it's "Wait till next year!".

I know it's buisness and just a fomality but seeing John Smoltz's name on the Free Agent list makes me sad. I hope he comes back strong and does it in a Braves uniform.
