You know, if you get the field goal on the 4th & goal, instead of going for it, ECU probably wins. They let the game slip away late.

I'm sure it would have been better for you guys to have Cotton. As a State fan, I'm sure State would have loved to have had our best LB, Nate Irving, who was hurt during the game. Also it would have been nice to have Toney Baker. And all the other 50 players or so State has that's hurt. Injuries suck, but they are a part of football and can't be used to blame for losses. I'm sure those guys would have made a big difference in the game as well.

....give me a break! So ECU, my alma mater, could have been better if it wasn't for an injury of the LB?
    What about NCSUs injuries?
Look, I was there, saw every play, and ECU looked like they were #115, not #15. That sucks, but thats the truth.
Great game folks, big time call was the reversal of a dropped pass for a touchdown.
I had the pleasure of having ECU AD Terry Holland park beside us at the Murphy Center. What a class act!
After the game, a guy stopped at our tent, he was very congenial, and a very "pat us on the back" kind of guy. I later learned that it was the chancellor at ECU.
Oh well, this post won't make the 6:00 news because its not laced with bashing ECU/NCSU fans, brawls, etc.
Take this to the bank state of NC, ECU vs. NCSU should be a must game.

Yep, although they bungled the earlier review on the interception then fumble. One angle showed that the ball was clearly punched out of the State defender's grasp before he rolled over onto his back, but again, State played better and deserved to win.

...yep, and no one in our (NCSU) area including the ECU fans freaked out when they reversed the call.
For the most part, the folks around us were well behaved, other
than the chick beside us who barfed her liquor/lunch, we had a cool time.
As for the teams, ECU has holes to fill, they did not appear to me to be any better than NCSU, and NCSU needs to learn to block on the offensive line.

ECU was grossly overrated, and State had been playing good teams tough. Game didn't surprise me at all, as the Pirates had no business being top 15

Whether it's accurate or not, that statue does look pretty lame, and the faux-cave shit behind it looks even worse.

the most smashed i've ever been was at a ecu/state game.

i remember snapping ecu flags off of cars on the walk in. puking in the middle of the concourse 10 minutes before the game, in front of 2 cops. then waking up late in the 4th quarter.
