    Not surprised at all. N.C. State deserved to win, and ECU isn't half as good as advertised. This will not be the Pirates' only loss.

    I always figured they'd get at least one loss. They seem like a team that loves to read their own hype. Did it last year when they were on their way to the C-USA championship game, and now, when they were the ESPN darling and people were talking BCS buster.

    No doubt the pirates deserved to lose this game. It sucks, but hell, you play like that, you can't expect to win. Do I think that cotton would have made a difference? yes i do, but like i said earlier, if you can't win without a starting LB you don't deserve to be the #15 team in the country, period.

    ECU didn't play particulary bad in terms of big mistakes, they just got beat.
