Lou Stenson says they'd be no better than third in the Big Fucking East this year.

    4 touchdowns is alot.

what would you say about them playing an SEC schedule where there are no "light weeks" like they are accustomed to.....LSU at home this week, @ Alabama, then @ Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Georgia???????

sure they may have good shot at winning but the beating they would endure physically is something they dont have to worry about in their own conference....or the rest of the way this year. if i am correct, the only potential "tough" game they have left on their schedule is against Notre Dame. they can run that table alright, so would LSU, Florida and Georgia.

I don't doubt that the SEC from top to bottom is the best in the country. My point is that this SC team is loaded at every position and have depth that is better than most other teams 1st unit. If they would play a SEC schedule this year they would have to be sharp each week but I really don't see them getting challenged. I saw a NFL scout quoted this week that SC has more NFL caliber talent on their roster than the next 3 teams combined. Talent don't always win but I don't think they will blow it like they did last year.

It would be hard to disagree that USC is the early favorite but you can't control injuries so that would be a huge factor. If they were in the SEC it would really show if they are the best team or not because of the strength of the SEC.

I think Oklahoma is looking very dominate so far. They are averaging 54 ppg. I know the only challenge they had was Washington but they destroyed them on both sides of the ball. They have a good QB with a lot of offensive weapons and a coach that has proven himself to be one of the best in college football.

They are always annointed the World's Greatest team at the beginning. They beat Virginia by 45 with their starters still in at the end. UCONN yanked their starters out and still beat Virginia by 35. In fact I think Virginia is the worst team in the ACC this year behind even Duke. They might be better than N.C. State, but that's a stretch, and they beat OSU at home. Their schedule is a joke though. They have one ranked team remaining on that schedule, Oregon, and Oregon just lost their QB. I think if both an SEC school and a Big 12 school runs the table and USC does as well USC should get the boot but it will never happen again after '03 with USC. All it took was a beating of the worst team in the ACC to annoint them as the greatest, and this Ohio State team got run out of town by LSU and Florida with Beanie Wells. USC got to play Ohio State without Beanie Wells and at home. Without Beanie Wells OSU is an 8-4 team in the slow plodding Big Ten this year, and an 8-4 team that sucks in big time non-conference games.

I agree but then Oklahoma always looks dominate in the regular season but then the bowl game comes around and they look like the Heels. I've never figured out how the Sooners look so good then just roll over and die in the bowl game.
