I created Rip Studman, a strong safety.

Now what the fuck do I do?

You'll get a contract offer from a CPU team soon enough, develop your guy there.

If you wanted to eventually play with my team, we could probably better use a free safety. If you decided to do that you could just retire Studman under "Retirement Options" (be sure to choose not to keep the name). As far as rolling for stats, the main thing is just to try and get as many 8s as possible in attributes you won't be using, like kicking & punting, etc. Most people focus on getting high scores in the important attributes, but that's really a waste of time since you'll be raising those eventually anyway. The key is to not waste points, and any points left in kicking & punting are a waste.

But anyway, once you're ready to play then you should sign on with a D-league team. Click on "Contract Offers" and you'll see three teams to choose from. If you want to level more quickly, choose the team with the least number of players at your position since D-league teams split time equally between all players at a position. Then once you start leveling and getting skill points, only spend them on your important attributes. For a safety, those will be speed, then vision, then tackling.

Since it's not going to matter how good your player actually is while in the D-leagues, I'd suggest not spending those skill points at all until you have enough to get your main attribute up to 48 or 60. Until then, I'd just train that main attribute. You get less training results the higher your attribute score is, so you'll get to 48 a lot faster by waiting and training until you have enough points than if you spend those skill points right away and train afterwards. Basically if you have an attribute score of 15 or something then you should get +0.40-0.50 for one training session, whereas if your attribute score is 30 then you'll only get like +0.20. They made some changes to the training system, though, so I'm not exactly sure how much of a factor it is anymore.

In any case, I'm trying to decide on a name.
    1) Atlantic Schooners was actually supposed to be a Canadian Football League team but they couldn't raise enough money for it to ever get started.
    2) Saint Lawrence Lumberjacks sounds kind of cool.
    3) Grand Banks Bluenoses - The Bluenose is apparently a famous Canadian racing ship that fished off the Grand Banks.
    4) Others?

The computer gave me the name Niagara Buckaroos, but I'll wait a bit before I choose the permanent one.

I have a couple of tight ends lined up already so you'd probably get more playing time with the other guy, but if you don't care about that then I'd be glad to have you. What we can also do if you decide to play with that other team is to give you access to my team's forum so you can keep in touch with the other TBR people on the game. Either is fine by me.

    Edit:
Holy shit they made trading for players a lot more expensive. I'm paying $120,000 for you Mo. You better be worth it.

Went ahead and took the deal. I would be interested to pop into the forum and see what you guys are up to (and learn about this game so my next guys can be built better).

Hoops, I gave you, presidence, and M9H access to our forums so you can keep tabs on what's going on and maybe feel like joining in a future season.
