It's way too early in the season for ANY team to crow too much. San Diego got annointed a play off favorite before they played a game that counts. They may ultimately turn out to be average. Indy hasn't been a large defensive team lately. So at this point, neither of our teams KNOWS they'll be good or not.

Early season predictions are based on last year's performances and how personnel changes look on paper. Neither last year's teams or the paper play the game.

this just in--you are an idiot.

You do think Ditka is God. You don't have to say it.

Learn how to use the quote function--even if you intend on re-writing what the original statement was.

I didn't give you any infraction warning. I would do worse than that.

You weren't talking about the game in "game speak" (see Magnus' post for an example).

    Kian's Dad = EPIC fail.

There you go, I fixed the second quote in my earlier post.. just for you.

If you have no argument to the post, just call the other person names and pick out spelling or cut and paste errors... typical.

I didnt say it was you who gave me the "infraction" warning, did I? I didnt say you were the one sending me cute little pictures either, but you were probably too busy checking grammer and forgot to say I accused you of that. Believe it or not.. not everything is about you.. its true!

You may now continue living in your own little self important world where you dont have to let facts get in the way.

    OK, here ya go, Dad....

Sorry for calling you an idiot. Instead you are just...."intellectually challenged." You do, however, exhibit all the typical signs of being typical Bear fan, a group which I disassociated myself from the night the Panthers embarrassed them on their own field. Typical Bear fan is still polishing the Ditka shrine, and expects to win just by showing up. That would be you, whether you write it out or not.

By no means do I think a Panthers win is a given on Sunday-the Bears punked Indy. It is, however, week 1, which leads me to this--either the Bears are THAT good, or the Colts are THAT bad. I would say the Bears were good THAT NIGHT, and the Colts weren't that good THAT NIGHT.

Oh, "You may now continue living in your own little self important world where you dont have to let facts get in the way." is supposed to mean what, exactly? I don't know you, and you don't know me. I consider myself quite fortunate for that.

    Agreed!

How many times have most "experts" picked a team to win the SB and they ended up with a top 10 pick?

How many times have they picked a team to be near the bottom of the league and they went to the playoffs or better?

How many picked the Giants to win the SB last year?

How many picked them to win it all when they started last year 0-1?

yeah, sure. you go on thinking what you want. I was disgusted that I actually called myself a Bear fan after seeing what kind of person that is. Considering I have been covering Carolina since their inception, the move away from the Bears was quite simple.

Quoted carefully.. so you dont get personally offended.. got to watch out for that.

Couldnt the same statement (although "punked" wouldnt be quite as fitting, would it?) be made about the Panthers and Chargers?

    like this:

By no means do I think a Bears win is a given on Sunday-the Panthers punked San Diego. It is, however, week 1, which leads me to this--either the Panthers are THAT good, or the Chargers are THAT bad. I would say the Panthers were good THAT NIGHT, and the Chargers weren't that good THAT NIGHT.

Just because a lot of "experts" said the Chargers (or Colts) were on the "short list" of favorites to win the SB this year make it true in week 1?

Just because they called both wins "upsets", does that mean the Bears or Panthers should count themselves lucky to have beaten such obviously superior teams? After all.. the "experts" said they were upsets.. so they must be, right?

Will it still be called an upset if the Bears and Panthers finish the season with better records then the Colts and Chargers?

Dont say it cant happen.. after all, Eli Manning won the Super Bowl.. ANYTHING is possible!
