I would not get one from Best Buy unless you have no other option. I and others have had enormous problems with that store and how it handles laptops.

Plenty of options. I'm curious about Lenovo, though.

Can't comment, sorry. I got a Dell Inspiron six months or so ago and like it, but that was my first laptop.

I have the lenovo z61t through work and it's been solid. Not many bells and whistles though. And the battery has lost a good bit of juice, but that could be because i run it on battery so often.

Lenovo makes the best laptops out there, IMHO.
Without question it's by FAR the best laptop I've ever used (T61P), and the X60/X61 has been HUGELY successful too. My employer and place of work use a lot of them, very reliable. They have great battery life (get the 9-cell option, not the 6-cell default), you can swap DVD/hard drive/second battery easily, fast onboard video and CPU options, quiet, cool, great screen, etc.

    Is there HDMI on that?

Im looking for one too, so if you get that one let me know how its doing.

    Im thinking about this one

I need an HDMI for my TV so its gotta have that. I almost settled for the Dell until i read all the bad feedback about the disk tray problems.
