I think Kass will be good for us next year...and we'll probably have to use him once or twice this year as well (like UTEP/Boise last year).

As far as the BE comment...we have had plenty of series in the past with almost every single school in that conference (Pitt, Syracuse, WV, USF although not many games with them, Cincy, Louisville, I just think its a good fit)

I guess I shouldnt say most ECU fan, but I personally would like the BE (other than the close proximity the ACC would bring) ACC football is just boring to me.

And yeah...I said im not crowning them by any means...just giving that dude some perspective on the VT game.

I think if the snobs on Tobacco Road didn't look down on ECU and fear more competition for in state recruits (especially in football), then ECU would've been in the ACC easily (plus Gov. Easley sitting on his hands and doing nothing didn't help at all). Notice how VT got UVA and the Governor of VA involved in helping them get in the league . . .

East Carolina has no chance of getting in the ACC. They don't offer anything that the league doesn't already have. They are already in the TV market. Their football and baseball would be competitive but hoops, please. As bad as I hate to say it, the team they are playing should have been in the ACC rather than Boston College. Boston is just too damned far and West Virginia was a fit. Pittsburgh would have been better too. East Carolina is in a unfortunate position. The ACC doesn't want a 5th North Carolina school.

ECU never had a chance at ACC membership because their basketball program is beyond awful.

    No, that is being clueless.

If Taylor(who the player's/fan's want at QB)plays that game its a different ball game. It's easy for a defense because they know Glennon does not have the ability to take off and run it like Taylor does. When you know he is going to pass, he looks at his receiver for about 10 seconds before throwing and it makes it easy for the defense. If you put Taylor in the game, he can pass but has the option of taking off with the ball. That's why EZU had success. Pinkney, not known for his arm had the ability to pass but with his running ability, you have to keep someone on the box to watch him which gave his receivers one-on-one coverage.

BTW, this dude was at the EZU/VT game. It was obvious after the first drive for VT that they didn't believe in Glennon. The VT fans around us started chanting "Taylor."

Cmon Big Vito, you don't think without a little politicking from Gov. Easley, ECU would've had a sliver of a chance of getting into the ACC? I mean, how large is the Roanoke-Blacksburg-Lynchburg TV market compared to Greenville-Washington-New Bern?

I think ECU with UNCC (assuming we start football and move up to I-A in the upcoming years) could be a way to get into the BIG EAST . .

    NO.
UNCC has no chance, but ECU might have a shot at football membership only because the Big East has separate membership for different sports.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, whether or not ECU would be a good member for the ACC is all dependent on if they will ever compete for the ACC title? Yeah, that should be the main reason to keep them out   . . . .
