Don't most of the GPS allow for a Birdseye view as well as a look from behind. My wife has commandeered mine and I was looking for another. I liked the Magellan one we used in Seattle because it had a looking down view and the screen wasn't as cluttered looking (to me anyway) as the Nuvi. Suggestions on brands. Want to spend 300 or less. Walmart.com has the Nuvi 350 for 199 online

I have the Nuvi 350 and LOVE it. I love garmin interfaces. Yes, they all have a top-down interface and the new 3-d interfaces that people seem to like (I'm with you, I like the top-down far more). Garmins just introduced some new models that are hot, including free traffic updates and the like forever...used to be pay services for most of that. And Charlotte has decent support for that (only on the major arteries and only during primary work hours, but that's when I need it and where I need it so it works).

Walmart.com has the Nuvi 350 for on sale for 199.00 from regularly 350 dollars. I am going to do it. Hell the Nuvi 200 was around 200 at Christmas

Anyone know of a reasonably priced GPS (200-400) where you can add or it already has worldwide maps? It would be awfully nice to have roadmaps of places when I'm overseas, and if it isn't already easy to find I figure it will be in a few years, but wondering if there is products out there already.

Are they still charging for updated maps? I think Garmin gives one update? They can also be gotten via torrents
