Yeah, I don't think that Pedroia kid has what it takes to be a good major leaguer, right Mike?

Go find that quote. My argument was that he should have been sent back to Pawtucket for a month or so since he was hitting .180; you said that would have ruined him. I never, anywhere guaranteed he was not going to be a good major leaguer at some point.

How's that, you 5'5" oompa loompa? What are you doing for your extra day off tomorrow, getting up early again so your wife can sleep in? Ask her if she'll play with the kids at 6 am tomorrow.

lmao - looks like I touched a nerve.

But by all means, please continue to think that me hagning out with my kids somehow makes me a bad father or less of a man.

You still didn't show where he said Pedroia "will never make it in the majors".

At the time Pedroia was not producing and Cora was. What's the big deal?

Reading comprehension is obviously not your strong suit.

Because his career was 50 games long and Mikey was ready to panic and bench him or send him down. In the ensuing 285 or so games Pedroia has garnered the ROY, won a WS, and has inserted himself into the AL MVP talk.

Maybe it's not your strength. So show me the quote where he said "Pedroia will never make it in the majors", like you claim.

So you are claivoiant, right? You just knew it, right? He made an observation on the results in front of everyone. Pedroia was struggling, Cora was not.

What are you doing hanging around here telling everyone how wrong they are. Go to vegas and break every sports book.

He didn't just say - hey look, Pedroia is hitting .180. He wanted to send him down based on that - that was the whole issue that we were arguing about. But yeah, since then the results would certainly seem to have validated that letting him work through it was the better strategy than sending him down.

But yeah, given his hitting stats in college and the minors, I'd say it was pretty likely that he would have picked things up.

Sorry to horn in on your schtick.

Still never said anything like that. I haven't bothered to check the old posts, but I remember pointing out that Mickey Mantle, A-Rod, and Roy Hallady were sent down when they were struggling or not ready. They turned out alright. This was after you claimed sending a player down automatically ruins them.

You might not have said "automatically", but you were against. go ahead and post that part of the thread.
