Close throughout the game due to QB situation for LSU but depth and size takes over for LSU and they pull away late.

    well that sucked.

LSU was too good on both lines, and laid the wood on every open field tackle. (did they ever miss one?). Team speed on defense offset any advantage Edwards may have had as a runner and his receivers dropped too many passes. Wouldn't have mattered much but may have kept the score a little more respectable.

oh well - not a horrible showing @ Baton Rouge and they will certainly make noise going for a fourth title in a row.

LSU is not Michigan. I repeat, LSU is NOT Michigan.

I never at any time thought App would win but I thought it would be competitive. Well I was wrong there. For a team like App to be competitive with a major power like LSU, you need guys who can make some plays. Other than Edwards, I didn't see a player on App's squad that looked like a playmaker. I think the run for 4 in a row will be much tougher without guys like Richardson, Dexter Jackson and Corey Lynch. All three of those guys made big plays during the past 3 years.

    AE's Decisions Poor

Armanti Edwards made some poor on field decisions in regards to the passing game. He on several occasions was clearly forcing passes to Coco Hillary, while Josh Johnson the starting wideout on the other side never even sniffed a ball his way. Johnson at 6'3" 190 is a big target with good speed and runs excellent routes. I understand that a QB can pick a favorite target and look that way allot. But AE's lack of spreading the ball around early in the game hurt is team. Hillary's stats on paper look great, but what it doesn't show is the 5-6 crucial drops in chain moving opportunities. If this is not addressed and corrected soon the Mountaineers can forget a fourth National Title, and maybe even a Socon Title. I hope it is corrected and they can get back on track.

Then Appalachian lost to Wofford. Could they beat Florida?

I'm on record bashing the idiots who insisted that App's win last year meant that they could win the ACC or even be competitive in a BCS conference, but the guy made an SEC vs. Big Ten crack, so I refreshed his memory about what happened to Florida in the bowl game last year.
