The scoreboard didn't really tell the story in that game, as Maryland dominated yardage. Moreover, Delaware is about as good as App, so it's not a big surprise that they'd play a close game against a mediocre BCS team.

Delaware and McNeese St. have been regulars the past several years in the I-AA playoffs. Not quite App. State caliber, but close. Then again, James Madison (whom Duke beat) is also in that category.

Duke looked good (for Duke). Cutcliffe will win 3 or 4 games this year. He can definitely have Duke climbing the ACC ladder in a hurry. If they don't beat State I'll be surprised.

With Evans at QB, I would take a mentally retarded blind team against State.

You know you suck when a FCS team drops 5 spots in its poll after it gets beat by a BCS team.

JMU was a play away from beating App in the 1st round last year.....stupid coach and his play calling.

What it shows is that as bad as Duke is, they dominated JMU and would beat App in a close game.

If App State gets blown out by LSU, but Maryland has trouble handling Delaware (yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, a good I-AA team but its still a I-AA team) what does that say about the talent level at Maryland? I mean, they should be getting the best talent in the state without breaking a sweat . . . Why did they squeeze out a 7 point win against the Blue Hens? I'm sure Delaware is a well coached team, but how can they keep it so close right to the end of the game ? ? ?
