    It seems like bullshit to new customers but it is how every business should handle customer service.

    I love DirectTV and ahve very few problems with it. TWC went out more than my DTV. Only thing that I don't like is that you have to have a phone line to get the sports packages.

    Ask people in Seattle how often their satellite goes out.

    Did you ever? When I had satellite the only thing I needed a phone line for was for PPV. I don't understand why you'd need one for sports packages, were they that strict on call-homes?

    They tell you anything to get that phone plugged in, it's their security blanket as well as their ticket into your ability to buy PPVs.

    Nevermind. I misunderstood what Yinzer told me. I guess they just don't guarantee it if you don't have a phone line.
