I used to run 2003 Office. I loaded 2007 over 2003 yet it is still asking to load updates for 2003. It won't update and I can't keep it from trying (showing the yellow shield lower left). Can I change a setting to not have it ask to update certain programs or would it be simpler to not look for updates

    uninstall 2007, reinstall 2003, uninstall 2003, install 2007.

Upgrades generally suck. Clean install works better.

PS I'd also consider running a registery cleaner before each "install" instance

:detonate: I won't lose my word or excel files will I or should I just back them up to a CD before doing this?
