There's no such thing as a "remorseful text".

I don't think this kills our season. Their are 52 other paid proffessionals on the team.

Steve needs to understand that there are consequences for his momentary lapse of reason. This goes beyond football for him.

If he's viewed as a problem by those in power, get what you can and move on. (KJ as in Kris Jenkins). If you don't think you can get anything for him, cut him, and move on (KJ - as in Keyshaun Johnson). Moving on is going to be easier than replacing hm.

I think it would be a lot easier to keep him and let this thing blow over in 2 months.

I'm glad Smitty did what he did. Shows some emotion. This is pro football, not Tiddly Winks. The reason these guys can't win is that they've become too "politically correct". I want to see some teeth and blood flying when I watch football, and other than Smitty, these dildos aren't up to it. So Smitty smacks a guy at practice? I'd say everyone who has played football from Pop Warner on up has been in a fight at practice or in a game. Football is a rough game. At least it's supposed to be. That's why people watch it.

Yeah short handing the team for two games because you felt you were being held in practice is a good thing.

    PASSION!!

He didn't just smack him, he sucker punched him. Fights at practice are expected its the cheap shotting that makes this different.

the above exchange aside, it's always odd how things like this are OK but during a game a holding penalty is worth cutting a guy for.
