Did Dan Morgan really 'retire as a Saint?'

For some reason that bothers me, like he took a slap at our organization.

Or is he thinking about coming back next year?

Maybe we'll sign him next year so he can retire as a Panther.

I don't even care, to be honest. We'll probably do the whole "come back for a day and retire" deal. No way he's actually coming back to play.

I don't either. But it isn't that the team nor Morgan doesnt want this to happen. There is a contract limitation that will not allow this. One of the observer guys blogged about it shortly after he retired.

Oh for real? I'd be interested in reading that.

And this thread was certainly not a cry to get Morgan back to play lol

I was just curious to why that situation worked out how it did, apparently it's a weird contract thing since we cut him this year?

Yeah, i have been looking for it and can't find the posting. But i remember reading something about it. It had to do with the fact that Morgan retired before he was released from the Saints.

I got what you were saying though. But i dont think Morgan has any ill will towards the organization.

That's cool, I didn't know how it was interpreted. I'm glad there was no ill-will because I felt like the Panthers treated him very well in his time here.
