I dont understand why if you hate the NBA ,you post on NBA threads. and its always the "national garbage league" comment......which isn't really that funny to begin with.

That may be the case but I read reports that they wanted Ajinca a day or two before the draft.

Not meant to be funny. It is more a statement. The NBA has declined in quality over the last 10 or so years. Almost every game is like watching two people play against each other on a video game and there is more emphasis on one on one play versus team play. The actual teams that win the championships are the ones that do play very good team defense and have a modicum of team offense. Typically there are only a handful of teams that have a chance to get to the finals and win it and those are the defensive oriented teams. The rest of the teams are more concerned with the "getting mine" mentality. Maybe this is the way it has always been and I am just starting to notice it now as I get older. I apologize for my National Garbage League statements if it hurt anyones feelings, I know that some folks get really invested with teams and take comments made as personal affronts. They weren't meant to be funny, it was just me expressing an opinion about a professional sports league, no biggie. However, when everything is said and done the NBA is currently as fun to watch as CBS.

That POV was much more true 5 years ago than it is today. You should check out some games this season.

What's ironic is most people who hold that opinion (especially the 'NBA sux the last 10 years) were usually huge Jordan fanboys. Not to say that's all Jordan did, but he made that style of game into a science, and for the most part people were trying to play like him the past 10 years but failing miserably. The dribbling out the shotclock and taking a 20 foot jumper style of ball sucks, no doubt.

But, there are teams that do run plays. And defensively the game is more interesting than it's ever been in my lifetime, due to the new zone rules. Now that you can't hack ballhandlers there is actually offensive flow in the game as well.

It's gotten better since the new hand-checking rules, but I still find myself far more interested in the average college game than the NBA.

I still have Hornets hang over. I tried to watch the Bobcats last year but I just could not get into it. Seems like 90% of regular season NBA games are played on cruise control until the last 5 minutes or so and then one team steps up to win the game.
