    NOTES FROM LAS VEGAS

A few quick nuggets from the NBA summer league...

    • A prediction: The Bobcats' Alexis Ajinca will be a bust. The guy just doesn't have an NBA body. Or NBA skills, for that matter.

    Still more love for him
    From ESPN:
A raw talent, Ajinca will probably spend the season in the D-League.
Guarenteed money to wallow in the D league ala Josh McDoughnut

Awesome. Who needs first round draft picks.

Especially with our pull in free agency, guys are beating the doors down to play here anyway.

In the 5 minutes he played, Ajinca looked flat out awful last night. I know that he was hurt and almost didn't play in the first summer league game, could it be a lingering injury, not sure. But hes REAL raw. Pretty much the suck.

DJ looked pretty good. 30 points and 0 assists is kinda troubling but even watching a few minutes of summer ball its no surprise why...nobody can hit shots, theres no offensive flow. It's really awful basketball.

Judging anything from summer league is dumb, good or bad.

True but Ajinca looks like a bad, bad player. Right now it's hard to figure out the line of thought that said "Let's deal away next year's #1 pick for this awesome guy in a French league that averaged 5 ppg!" Unless one of these guys has a magic ball I'm thinking: bust.

It seems pretty obvious that they weren't thinking about Ajinca when they traded for the pick, then when the player they wanted wasn't there, they froze up and felt stupid.

Let me clarify. I am speaking in terms of the National Garbage League as a whole. Not one particular team.
