Hey, I appreciate it. You've seen a lot of the sacrifices we have made to make this happen (for those that don't know, this is my brother). Heck, even you had to sacrifice as my Christmas/Birthday gifts to you sorta sucked the last two years. And yeah, she's already making a master Target/Costco list along with a list of things to do around the house that we will start saving up for. She's the natural spender and I'm the natural saver so this makes our budget discussions fun (though we don't get angry about it anymore like we used to before doing a budget).

So let me get this straight. My birthday is less than a month away and you have extra cash sitting around and you have admitted to slacking on my birthday gifts. I think a PS3 will make my pain and suffering go away!

Nice try but um, you barely made the August budget. We have an Emergency Fund to save up for after all. And I figure just knowing me is more valuable than any gift I could give you (not to mention you can brag that you made it from the same gene pool as me).

Jeez, did we really give you a $5 gift card? I told Mrs. Wolfpac to only give you a $1 gift card. Well, on the bright side, your gift this year will be double what I intended you to get last year. But, you apparently owe me $4 for last year's gift.

Braves, thanks! I've heard they upgraded the Dora model so it may be too advanced for him.

I look forward to being able to say we are debt free. I have a little less than three years to go and I will have everything paid off. We are renting right now so I do not have a mortgage.

Did you do anything like get a second job or sell anything to get there or was it just sticking to a budget?
