    bought 40k of WB at $8. Selling when it gets back to $45. Then Im selling all my shit and moving to jamaica.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, would this be a good time to see WELLS FARGO to buy WACHOVIA? Charlotte has lucked out over the last 20 years with all of the mergers going its way . . . . Does anybody think that the trend could come to an abrupt end soon ? ? ?

    They've been rumored to be on the chopping block for a while. I imagine many are hesitant to buy them up due to credit quality issue. Not all are stupid like Wachovia.

    Edit: On second look, were you talking about buying the stock? If so, it appears to be a good deal, but so did IndyMac for a little while.

    I was talkin about buying the stock. I guess what happens with IndyMac (do the shareholders or the taxpayers eat it) will set the precedent. WaMu has been rumored to be a buyout target for a while...

    Another apparent bargain is National City Corp NCC which is trading in the low 4's.
