Huh??? Where did you get a ridiculous idea like that? If the tickets were split evenly, I promise Charlotte would sell their 8 or 9,000. They had at least that many there last year for Wake and Maryland.

If chapel hill controlled the tickets, it's obvious the ratio would be much worse.... which is exactly why Bobby said no.

Even lowly Davidson (well, lowly except for last year) had partial ticket control against Duke and unc-chapel hill last year. It was 50/50 vs Duke. I'm not sure what it was against the tarholes.

It was a lot less than 50/50 againt the Heels, and I was at the Duke game and I'd say it was a stretch to say it 50/50 for them too.

I can see what you guys are getting at, but I still am glad Bobby said no. This isn't Animal House, no need to bend over and say "Thank you sir, may I have another." and bow down to the mighty Tar Heels. It's the principle of the thing. I don't really care what color uniform a team wears, but DO NOT come into another team's home city and expect to be the HOME team. That is absurd. I was wondering though if Roy called Lutz before or after he knew all his players were returning.

I don't have a problem with Lutz saying no either, but at the same time, it should be easy to understand why UNC would ask for what they did. It's like when Manchester United comes to play an exhibition in the United States. They aren't treated like equals and they don't just accept a regular visitor's cut.

I emailed my dad, who graduate from UNC, so see what he thought, and he agreed that it was ridiculous for Roy to expect to be the home team vs Charlotte in Charlotte. Most people Ive talked to about this, including a lot of Heels fans, feel the same way.

I too see where you guys are comming from with the argument that we need exposure and it's a great opportunity to play an elite team on a big TV stage, but it's the principal of the thing. You dont go over to someone else's house and make your own rules.. If you want your own rules, you invite them to your house.

Again, whether you think it's right or not, this kind of thing happens all the time in sports.

Yeah it does, I'm not arguing that. I'm just glad we aren't a part of it.

Seriously. It would be one thing if UNCC could sell out TWC Arena on their own. They can't. UNC can.
