And, as for your "if Sepp Blatter says it, then it must be true argument" Suck it, part deux.

Says the admitted liar. Here's your shout to put up or shut up. You have been proven wrong - concretely proven. No one agrees with you. Even elric has shut up since McMahon's response agreed with me.

It will be beyond clear to all that if you don't admit you're wrong now, you can only be lying about saying that you would do so.

You have had no real worthwhile comments at all, thanks. And the reason that anything that may have been said got lost in anything is that you are not capable of admitting that someone may know something more about a subject than you do, and when faced with that you throw a tantrum.

No, you wouldn't. When have you ever admitted that you were wrong about anything? You never admit to it because you don't have the courage to do so, and unless you plan to argue that you don't admit that you're wrong because you're perfect and never have been wrong, then that's obviously an indication that you'll lie and bullshit any time someone catches you making a mistake.
I was polite with you in this thread until you were a dick to me and said I was wrong about something I wasn't wrong at all about. And I didn't get forceful in this thread until I checked and made sure that I was correct, because unlike you, I don't pretend to be a soccer expert.
Nor should you hold your breath because you haven't provided anything that shows me to be wrong, much less answered any of the evidence that I presented.
How does that link support your position that some tackles from behind should receive no cards at all? Obviously FIFA (specifically Blatter and Platini) are saying in that link that all tackles from behind are supposed to be red cards. Presidence already mocked you many pages ago about trying to pin your argument on the fact that some refs don't call things correctly. Again, when David Stern and the NBA issued a proclamation criticizing the refs for missing the obvious foul on Brent Barry by Derek Fisher, you would like to pretend that it meant that it wasn't a foul. Refs miss calls, and that link proves that the correct call was supposed to be a card for tackles from behind.

Where on that page does it say that FIFA sanctioned no cards at all for some tackles from behind? It does not. It says that David Will challenged giving all reds, but it doesn't say anywhere that some tackles from behind will get no card at all. Bobby McMahon already said: "You may get away with a tackle (I think you also have to differentiate between a tackle and a challenge) from behind from time to time depending on the severity but I would say that a slide from the back will always always get you a yellow and often a red."
Everyone adult on this earth has lied at some point in their lives, so I think admitting that is actually a badge of honesty. You're the one who pretends that you never lie, which is a lie in itself. You're also the one who never admits that he's wrong, which is yet another form of lying. I try to be as honest as I can be, as my actions have demonstrated time and again. People have seen me admit to being wrong about things, but people have not seen you do it. I don't think that's because you've just never been wrong.
Concretely proven how? Your own links just reinforced what I've been saying that tackles from behind are supposed to be carded, but that yes, refs sometimes miss the call or otherwise don't call it correctly. You haven't shown anything that says some tackles from behind are not supposed to be carded at all.
Hilarious. Your life must be truly pathetic for you to be this delusional. I guess you need to create an illusory world in your head to escape from reality. Elric does agree with me, as does Bobby McMahon. You were too much of a coward to answer my questions about what McMahon said because you know that if you did there was no way to get out of admitting that he disagreed with you without looking ridiculous. Blatter, Plantini, and other FIFA officials also agree with me. You haven't provided one non-TBR source backing up your own opinion. The only people you have supporting you are people who have a grudge against me. Knowing that your only support comes because some people are bitter towards me must warm your heart.
Again, people have seen me admit that I'm wrong many times. They've also seen me admit that I am far from an expert on soccer. WYDD challenged me on that because he's a dickhead who is so stupid that he didn't think I'd admit that I'm not an expert, but I've never pretended that I was. You're the one who has specifically claimed to be an expert, and you're the one in such desperate need for people to believe you are that you'll lie to protect that illusion.
Anyone who pretends that their opponent has no redeeming qualities is clearly lost in prejudice. I don't pretend that you know nothing about soccer or that you haven't made any worthwhile comments because I am comfortable with reality. You aren't.
Again, I'm not the one who claimed to be an expert on soccer. You claimed that you are an expert on soccer, which is laughable, but I freely admitted that I'm not. My issue is that I have a love for knowledge and truth, and it drives me crazy whenever someone lies to cover up a mistake. There is little shame in being wrong about something, and it happens to all of us with more regularity than we'd ever want. The real shame is in being a dickhead like you and lying just to keep from avoiding that we are in fact human beings who make mistakes.

You are not an expert on soccer, you lied when you said that the red tackle rule was not implemented in 1998, and you were wrong when you claimed that tackles from behind weren't necessarily supposed to draw a card.

P.S. I find it amusing that you chose to resurrect this argument while the match is going on instead of just watching it. Granted, if Germany wasn't making such a mess of things then I probably wouldn't have been checking the board either.

And just because it's entertaining to keep posting this and having you pretend that it doesn't exist:

    http://www.indianexpress.com/res/web/pIe/ie/daily/19980312/07150564.html

PARIS, March 11: FIFA on Tuesday told coaches and referees that all tackles from behind should be punished with a red card at the World Cup finals.

``All tackling from behind is considered to endanger the physical integrity of the opponent, so no tackling from behind will be tolerated by Fifa,'' the world body's general secretary Sepp Blatter said.

``Officially from July 1, but effectively from the kick-off of the World Cup finals on June 10, all tackles from behind will be sanctioned by a red card everywhere on the field of play,'' he told a news conference at the end of Fifa's World Cup workshop with the 32 finalists.

The international football association board, the game's law making body, passed an amendment to Law 12 on Fouls and Misconduct at a meeting last month.

The amendment designates the tackle from behind as serious foul play and therefore a sending-off offence. However, referees at the workshop wondered whether the tackle had physically to endanger a player for the tackler to be sent off. Blatter told referees that all tackles from behind should receive red cards.

``It's impossible for the referee to see if a tackle is dangerous or not because all tackles from behind put in danger the physical integrity of the opponent,'' he said.

As expected, Germany just could not maintain possession through midfield. When your only real chances of scoring are on long balls or set pieces, you need a stroke of luck to prevail. Spain more than deserved their victory, and the final score didn't adequately represent how thoroughly they dominated the match.

Also, here's a story from 1999 confirming that the International Board did agree to ban tackles from behind, and that those rules were implemented: http://www.tribuneindia.com/1999/99oct08/sports.htm

“Eject players who tackle from behind”

BRUGGE (Belgium), Oct 7 (AP) — FIFA President Sepp Blatter renewed his campaign to rid soccer of tackles from behind yesterday, calling on referees once again to follow FIFA mandates and eject players who employ the tactic.

“We need to control the referees more and to tell them they have to do their duties. If not, they shall be replaced,” Blatter said in an interview with the Associated Press.

Barely a year ago, red cards for tackles from behind became one of the most controversial issues at the World Cup in France, but Blatter says the issue has faded since.

“The instructions given in France seem to have been forgotten when referees went back to their countries,” Blatter said, arguing he saw several illegal tackles in recent friendlies such as Belgium vs. the Netherlands last month.

He said the loose standards were increasingly visible in the world’s marquee leagues, where referees also failed to apply the FIFA’s instructions.

The campaign to eliminate tackles from behind began with France ’98, including a stern warning to referees by Blatter midway through the first round to strictly follow the new rules. The result was a flurry of red cards and some obvious instances where defenders pulled up instead of challenging for the ball.

Blatter said a letter will be sent to all the national federations telling them to abide by the decision of the rule-setting international board, which outlawed tackles from behind.

The Germans did well the first 10-15 minutes but after that Spain just dominated in possession. The German's were really lucky they didn't give up 3+ goals. Spain finally wins a big one.

Actually I haven't said anything because you were wrong and McMahon's reply confirmed it. No more needed to be said.
