seems as though me and one other person are the only people pissed about the latest in this movie franchise.

The movie plot was about 10 years too late. Expected more from Spielberg and Lucas to be honest. Plus. id just seen National Treasure 2 so it was like watching The Illusionist and The Prestige back to back.

Not really much to remember about the film like Ark and Crusade had. I had a chuckle or too but it wasnt exactly new and fresh was it?

I wonder if Connery was in that movie if he would have told the writers he used the Openheimer quote from Gita "Now i am become death the destroyer of worlds" in Red October?

I enjoyed seeing Indy in action again and I thought having Marion in it was pretty cool. The nostalgia part was just about right. I thought the ending sucked though. The chase through the jungle was pretty good though. They should have rooted it in a familiar legend or religious story instead of the aliens thing.

Aliens = suck. Does NOT fit the overall storyline.

Indy as an OSS agent = suck. Again, does NOT fit the overall storyline.

Psychic warfare = suck. Once again, does NOT fit the overall storyline.

Commies = appropriate for the setting. We're not in the 30's/40's anymore, Toto.

Bringing Marion back = good. That was needed to wrap up the series.

Alone, it was not a good flick and even as a capstone to the series, it could've been MUCH better. Considering they brought back the old "gang" of Spielberg, Lucas, and Marshall, I expected a lot more. But in the end, I'm glad the movie was made. The Indy chronicles are finished.

I wish Lucas had not been involved in this one. Everything he touches goes all Jar Jar...
