gee, that's funny I remember Dwayne Wade coming to play the Niners in Halton in 03. Also his triple double in the regional final against Kentucky, ending the Wildcats two month winning streak.

Did you even read my post? Or are you just being a moron? I simply pointed out that when he was the lead dog on the team, his numbers crushed Odom's best season. There's plenty of "factual basis" there.

More "factual basis": Additionally, during his prime with the Bulls, (90/91 - 97/98) he consistently averaged more PPG than Odom's done in his single best season.

Pippen undoubtedly stuck around the league far too long; after turning 33, he played 6 more years and his number significantly dropped, which is why the career stats for Odom and Pippen are so close. Take away those last few years where he was 36+ years olds and barely scraping double digit scoring, the numbers would be a good bit different.

to say Lamar Odom is even close to Pippen is silly.

Pippen was named one of the fifty greatest players of all time. Odom might be one of the fifty best in the league today...maybe.

Pippen was a seven time all star. Odom has made the all star team...never.

Pippen was on the all defensive team 10 times. Odom...zero.

Pippen could play the point, sg, sf, and even pf. Odom is a sf/pf.

Pippen holds career marks in assists and steals for a forward. Odom will never come close.

Numbers aside, if you just watch the two games it isn't even close. Scottie consistently disrupted the game, and remember it was HIM, not MJ, that the bulls used to put on the best scorer on the other team. He was the best defensive player in the game for years. Odom is good. Pippen was great.

There were a couple of years when the only person who could have shut down Michael Jordan was Scottie Pippen.

I did read your post, which is the problem. You, unfortunately are always a moron and thus incapable of stopping yourself from posting idiocy.
Odom has never had an offense centered around him, but even in Pippen's best seasons his percentages and per shot production were pretty much identical to Odom's best seasons. The only difference is that Odom has never had more than 1127 field goal attempts in a season while Pippen topped that for eight straight seasons. It's a difference in volume, not quality. As offensive players they're pretty much identical aside from the difference in attempts.

Again, learn when to shut your mouth. Actually, just live by the rule that you should never respond to me for the rest of your life. It will spare you a lot of embarrassment.

I thought you would have quit that alias by now, but I guess it doesn't matter when your only purpose in posting is to bitch at me because you're bitter about me making you feel bad. But as I've told so many people, no one cares that I hurt your feelings. Deal with it and stop being a bitch.

And as for your "argument," we already covered the defensive difference, while the fifty greatest players thing was clearly a mistake, and the all-star appearances were largely on Jordan's coattails. Offensively, the only thing separating Pippen from Odom is that Pippen took a lot more shots.

Pippen was a very good defender, but no one could ever shut down MJ.

It would have been a good match up, but no one will ever know. I certainly don't think Jordan would have been as good without Pippen.

Pippen was definitely an asset, I just don't think he belonged on that top 50 team.

Well, you know, Lamar Odom's FG% for his career is actually higher than Allen Iverson, so obviously he's better offensively.

    :roll-eyes:

But no, he didn't belong on the Top 50 team. He had a remarkable career, with 7 All-Star appearances, 3 NBA First Teams, 2 NBA Second Teams and 3 NBA Third teams; he even pulled out an All Star MVP. But not Top 50. Odom's biggest problem is mental; as I've said, he's got all the talent in the world, but can't put it together. One could also argue that the Clippers offense in 2000/2001 was centered around Odom as he was the teams leading scorer by a significant margin. Granted, it was a crappy team, but he was the best player on that team by a long shot.
