    Once again, the Observer is doing its best to generate doubt about UNCC being able to start a football team . . . Why :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ? ? ? Is it because deep down, a UNCC football team would force the Observer to increase their coverage of the school? State & Carolina would face more competition for in-state talent, which they don't really care for? Is it because in about 10 years if UNCC does it right, they could be playing in a I-A level (again, BIG EAST) which would take away all of the focus State & Carolina get throughout the state? Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if Bill Friday (former UNC System Prez.) has any reservations about the next expansion/renovation campaign of Kenan Stadium which will cost millions of dollars :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ? ? ?

    Duh, its going to cost money to start a football program, that's understandalbe. However, considering how many alumni that we have in this area and the growing student population, why shouldn't UNCC start a football program? I mean f**kin' a, if Gerogia State can start a football program and start playing their games at the Georgia Dome, then why can't we start playing at BoA Stadium? I mean, just use the lower level seats for right now. Playing their would give the school enough time to raise money to build an on-campus facility (though renovating & expanding the Belk Track is tempting).

    Bill Friday is anti -everything. He doesn't even want UNC to spend money on its program. He was totally against the Butch Davis hire and renegotiated contract.
