Yeah, there is what, 3 hours left? One next week, then skip a week and a two hour finale. I wonder how they are going to "move" it? I am also wondering when they are going to revisit the four toe statue? I read somewhere that they were going to get to it again. I have been waiting for that since the end of the 2nd season. Great show.

Ben answered my question with one of my favorite answers of all time: "Very carefully"

    Sweet.

interesting that the "Oceanic 6" are spread out 1 in each group and somehow they're going to come together and get off.

okay, so i don't get it. why did they take aaron with them to the new island? didn't they think he'd be a little bit hard to explain? didn't they think it might be somewhat dangerous to take an infant on what would be at best a 9 hour boat ride and potentially a whole new traumatic experience?

and for that matter, why wouldn't kate just say "fuck it, say i died" and stay on the boat with the others and simply go into hiding? why announce that she survived, have to hold up to media scrutiny and face the very real possibility of going to jail for the rest of her life when she could have simply slipped away and ran which she'd done before, only now she had the greatest cover in history -- everybody on the planet thought she was dead.

i can't help but feel they put the cart before the horse and made up the ending before they made up the "how they got there" part, cuz "how they got there" doesn't make a ton of sense.

i will say, tho, this season was better than i thought it might be. next season might be all about what happened in the meantime (without the 6).

Thought last night was action-packed, and very good. I still have the same complaint though. Way to many characters on this show.

Also agree with nut, they don't seem to have a clear direction.

it's a real pet peeve of mine with stories set up as mysteries. too often, character motivation seems to be in contriving to feed the mystery instead of behaving logically consistent. not just in lost, but in a lot of movies/shows/stories. it's one of the reasons i love the sixth sense so much.

fight club, on the other hand, has a major flaw in this regard -- the way we see fight clubs unfolding is two dudes fighting and other people being inspired to also fight. but in reality, it was one guy hitting himself. how would that inspire people to fight each other and not inspire them to hit themselves or do some other self destructive behavior?
