I stopped watching that shit when they started with all the dream sequences. I hate dream sequences (unless there are naked boobies).

I actually felt good having not watched the final season and blackout ending. I felt like id beaten the system.

I've seen only one dream sequence episode. I agree, it sucked. It pissed me off enough so that I stayed awake for it though.

just too formulaic. The problem is, it's better when the episodes are isolated than when there's a recurring story line (the Chi McBride or David Morse storylines).

I don't think the recurring storylines are a bad thing as an idea, it's just that most of the ones they've done haven't added much, and have borderlined on ridiculous themselves. I really liked the storylines with Stacy (Sela Ward), and even his parents (Lee Ermy! Ha!). They gave his character depth. Pissing contests with Chi McBride and David Prowse added nothing.

The selection of the new team was sort of interesting, but the team itself really isn't. With the old team, Cameron and Foreman both were competent and confident enough to stand up to House. Even if they were wrong, they had good reasons. This new team pisses their collective pants whenever House does his thing, and the characters have very little depth. It took time, but Foreman, Cameron, and Chase all had backgrounds. You understood why they were the way they were. The writers have done almost nothing for the new team in that regard.

I don't know. Maybe the writers' strike just jacked the whole season, and they've all but written it off (no pun intended). Hopefully next season will be better.

I think the original plan before the writer's strike was to have the new group slowly picked off, and all the new group slowly brought back in in their place. If you've noticed they've been integrated more and more. Problem is because of the strike they lost about 5 episodes and its screwed up that original plan.

    interesting stuff.

they certainly did away with the traditional format for this one. I do agree it makes a hell of a lot more sense for a diagnostician to look at a guy's new teeth and make a dx on something, as opposed to staring at a pillow and having an epiphany.
