    That is outstanding.

    How long did it take?

I was already doing some things before March. I'd been working out for the better part of a year, but I was weight training and running. Started drinking a lot more water, too. When I made a change, it was to smaller, lighter meals, a lot more fruits/vegetables, portion control. I cut diet soda and tea off, have beer once a week or so (I drink hearty beer so this hurts), and just think. I eat bad sometimes, but not often, and just make better choices.
I also run about 4 miles a week and walk for :30 every day at lunch.

this is so awesome. Congrats. You've overcome a lot.

Fanks Jge! It took probably around the six month mark. As you can imagine, some days were better than others :shifty:.

Go hard with it Jge! I don't know if this helps - but set yourself small milestones and don't look at it in big pound blocks. I never thought I could do 100. Never. Ever. Ever.

Thanks too Magnus - your exercise regime is impressive! I've never enjoyed running. I am trying to get into it, but don't run as much as scurry. I prefer walking, but have been a slack arse with winter creeping in. I've gotta get over that!

    Cool.

So far I have dropped right around 20 lbs. and my next goal is to get down under 300 which is a little over 20 more lbs. I am trying not to do it too fast though. I want to be under 300 before I go on vacation with the family in 35 days. Easier said than done though.

    Absolutely.

Honeygirl is right -- small, reasonable goals is the way to go. I never thought I'd ever lose 100+. I couldn't even imagine what that would look like. But first it was, "Let's try to get under 300." Then it was pretty much 10 lbs. at a time. It works! Good luck J -- sounds like you're off to a great start.

234 this morning, that brings my total to 16 pounds. It seems like I can have one really good week and lose five pounds and then I hold for a month. That is OK with me though. It all adds up even if it is slow.

    Thanks.

I weighed in yesterday @ 323, which is a pound heavier than last week. I am going to have to step up my exercise routine now to keep it going in the other direction.
