Exactly. I can't find the thread but it might have been Wossa who was arguing that momentum, teambuilding, character can be established by playing hard down the stretch. I agree that I LIKE to see my team play hard down the stretch, but if the season is for all intents and purposes over, there's no reason for someone to overextend themselves. At that point I'd rather have the draft pick.

Of course it's no guarantee, but I'd argue that out of the NFL/NBA/MLB bad teams winning late in the NBA has the LEAST correlation to a good season the next year.

As for What If's, the Kobe situation is very different than this. Yes we drafted him, no he would have never played for Charlotte. It would have been a public relations nightmare, we got exactly what we needed out of the 13 pick, a starting center.

What If we drafted Howard? Well, that was as close as Orlando passing up on him. We couldn't have traded for the #1 pick, and people forget that we actually had the #4 pick that draft. We traded up to get Okafor. We were never as close to actually getting Howard as we were to getting Paul.

Can you imagine if we had gotten both, though.

edit: To continue the discussion, Ellis is the better player compared to Felton right now, but that might change next year.

he was drafted as a point guard. He can play point and if he had remained at the point he'd still be a fuckova lot better than Felton.

moreover, among all NBA point guards, Felton is in the bottom 20 percent, and that's being generous. there are exceptions, but by and large, Tarheels make shitty pros. Tucker Highbrow and Tyshawn Lawton will bear that out, fo' sho.

keep telling yourself that. felton would be a backup on any average NBA team. As it is, he plays on one of the shittier teams. and shitty teams usually have shitty players. that's why they're shitty, dumbass.

You're never going to get most of them to admit that the reason the team sucks is that the players aren't good.

it's the same reason the Tarheels didn't win a title this year: shitty players and an even shittier coach. sadly (well, not for me, but for UNCFever and the rest of the bandwagoneers), they'll lose again next year with the same cast of shitty players.

Bless the collective hearts of the Tarheel faithful.

Yes, I am sure they wanted him playing PG over Davis, all I know is he is listed as a SG right now and that's the role he has been playing. So let's get off the what fucking if's and compare apple's.

Not sure where you went to school, but 7th in assists with 7.4 average for the year while playing half the year as a SG isn't too damn bad, but certainly isn't the bottom 20%. It will be interesting to see him play a full year at PG without a clueless coach next year. I have stated before that he needs to work on his offense and shoot the ball better.

Ellis would need to work on his A/TO ratio a lot to be a full time PG in this league.

over the last decade, BE teams have won exactly as many titles as ACC teams. As for which conference turns out the better pros, it's not even close.

    thank you for trying, fucktard.
